Show Old Folks Annual Day Oraatsy Enjoyed By Aged 1 Wednesday by 11 a. m. the taber- nacle was a scene of handshaking! and words of welcome, by old folks who had gathered to enjoy the annual Old Folks Day. Chairman Hans Williamson was in charge of the pro- gram. The following committee was in charge of the banquet served to 200 guests: Messrs. and Mesdames Hans Williamson, Herbert Armit-stead, Armit-stead, Clifford Tomlinson, L. A. Adams, Wm. Hone, William Stagg, Niels Poulson, Owen Halliday, Ed Harchnan, L.. L. Larson, J. A. Adam-son, Adam-son, Alma Christiansen, Sanford Weeks, I. E. Carlson, N. West, Mrs. Florence West, Miss Larsen. At 2 p. m. the following program was rendered: Talk, S. L. Chipman, of Alpine Stake; duet, Kenneth Van Wagoner and Oswald Farr; talks, W. L. Hayes of Pleasant Grove; James H. Clarke and A. J. Evans of the old Alpine stake; quartette, High school; childrens play and dance numbers under the direction of Miss Maurine Gamett; song, Sixth! grade pupils under direction of Miss Florence Flor-ence Stewart; paxaphone trio, King Drysdale, Ross Brinley and Reed Halliday; song, J. R. Halliday, Sr., with banjo accompaniment; harmonica harmoni-ca solo, James A. Nelson accompanied by Ethel West, A one-act play presented by the Second Ward M. I. A. completed the afternoon's entertaining features. Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Humphries who for so many years have furnished furnish-ed the flowers for table decorations were present with the usual amount of flowers for presentation to the aged. Mrs. Mary Hay, 89, and Alex Ellis, 88, received beautiful bouquets of sweet peas for being the oldest lady and gentleman at the entertainment, entertain-ment, j..':- n . : i |
