The increased fee Saturday Satur-day is because Adventureland is not open Sunday, so the renter gets to keep the VCR, and whatever movies, until Monday morning, she said. If it doesn't sound so good to rent a VCR every time you want to see a movie, you can rent to own, Bentley said. Under that system you can keep the recorder all week, for $11.95. If you end up buying, the bill is paid after 78 weeks, or you can pay it off any time before that. Being an Adventureland member has other advantages, Bentley said. Members receive a $3.25 discount at Lagoon in the summertime. She said she is also working on a discount v plan at the 49th Street Galleria. Also, if you're traveling, your memberhsip is good at any other Adventureland. If renting's not your deal, you can buy. Bentley said videos cost from $29 to $79 each depending on the movie. Two examples: The Empire Strikes Back costs $59.95, while Footloose or 48 Hours runs at $29.95 each. Since opening, Benton said her biggest hits have been "The Empire Strikes Back" and "The Natural." But they could be surpassed by one of the incoming new arrivals. The newest of those at Adventureland are the foursome of "Police Academy," "Tightrope," "The Never Ending Story," and "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." Benton said she will soon be adding "The Lady in Red" and "All of Me." Adventureland manager Wendy Benton pulls down The Natural, a popular video.
