" The donation will be divided into three $750 awards to be granted to one outstanding teacher in each of the district's three schools. The awards will be granted in May. The qualifying criteria as defined by the Board of Education and by Dunn will be excellence in teaching and overall contribution con-tribution to the schools with an emphasis on benefit to the students. According to Board of Education President Gary, Avise, "The Park City School District has a number of excellent teachers. Jt will not be easy to select the distinguished teacher but this opportunity to provide recognition for distinguished teaching is accepted with, a&ldejLQXgr The board will accept recommendations from the principals, teachers, students, parents and community members. This donation is the fourth contribution that Dunn has made to the school district this year, said School Superintendent Tony Mitchell. Dunn also contributed an Apple computer to the elementary school, funds for the voted leeway campaign, and outdoor lights for the high school. "We are lucky to be the beneficiaries of this kind of generosity," said Mitchell. |
