Show County budget hearing Dec. 14 There is no new millTevy increase planned in the 1984 Summit County budget, said County Clerk Reed Pace this week. The budget will increase over last year, said Pace, stemming partly from increased salaries and a new department. A public hearing on the budget is set for Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m., in the new courtroom at the Coalville Courthouse. At this writing, Pace was still working on details of the budget. But he said it called for a 6.5 percent salary increase for elected officials. Other employees will be granted a 3.4 percent increase of take-home pay in the plan. Two of the bigger requests for increases came from the sheriff's department and the road department. The County Commission has allocated about $40,000 for new road equipment. The new department, said Pace, will be a General Services Administration. Pace said it would carry through on the requests of the county commission and would oversee building supervisors. The new department depart-ment would add $63,000 to the budget, Pace said. |
