Show Building permit activity shows seasonal drop The flying snow has brought the yearly slowdown slow-down in the Park City construction industry, as the November building permit statistics illustrate. Permit valuation last month dropped by approximately $1 million from the October figure to come in at just over $3 million. A total of 49 permits were issued last month, a drop from 64 in October. But even with the drop, the pace was ahead of the November 1982 figure of 40. The largest single valuation was for the Stein Eriksen Lodge expansion. Dawn Jensen of the Planning Plan-ning Department said the value of the "shell permit" wasover fLSmillion. Five single-family nomes received permits last month, as did one multi-family with three units. One commercial com-mercial building was approved. Twenty-four of the 49 permits were for existing buildings 14 for alterations to dwellings, 10 for alterations to commercial buildings. With total valuation at nearly $32.5 million through November, the $35 million mark may be reachable, especially since much construction (such as the Washington School and Silver Mill) has moved or soon will move indoors. That $35 million figure would be a quite a surge from last year's total valuation of $25.7 million. |
