Show Turtle pleads not guilty Wesley Allen Tuttle, the man charged with the Sept. 26 slaying of a 21-year-old Salt Lake City woman, pleaded not guilty Monday, Dec. 5 in Coalville's Third District Court. The trial date has been set for Feb. 7, according to Summit County Assistant Attorney Terry Christiansen. Chris-tiansen. At that time jury selection selec-tion will begin, he said. Tuttle's arraignment and preliminary pre-liminary hearing have been closed to the public and the press. However, the attorney appointed to defend Tuttle, Kenneth R. Brown, said the trial will definitely be open to the public and press. He said that Tuttle waived the right to a "speedy trial" because that 30-day period required by law was not enough time to prepare Tuttle's defense. |
