Show 'Wandering in Greece' opens travel film series Maria Madsen, widow of travel film-reporter Bill Madsen, will show her late husband's color motion picture "Wandering in Greece" on Nov. 1 at Utah Technical College at Salt Lake. Starting Utah Tech's fourteenth season of travel film lectures, the film on Greece shows a diversity of subjects both on the mainland and several adjacent islands. Highlights include monasteries perched atop thousand foot rocks, the ruins to Delphi, the valley of the butterflies, the 2,000 year old Corinth Canal, and the possible site of lost Atlantis. Hydra, the Greek answer to Capri and St. Tropez, begins another sequence. Also pictured are Thessa-loniki Thessa-loniki in northern Greece and Athens itself. Mrs. Madsen narrates the travel film with anecdotes about a country rich in history and modern in outlook. The Thursday lectuptarts at(7 :30 p.m. in the 324-seaU auditorium of Utah Tech's Calvin L Rampton Technology Building? on the Redwood Red-wood Road campus. Individual tickets are $3 each, available at the door. Season tickets fere $15 for the six-film series. j v |
