Show Fernandez to join KSL-TV Summit Park resident Alexis Fernandez will join KSL-TV's Eyewitness News team in November as a reporter. According to KSL-TV managing news editor Ernie Ford, Fernandez will work primarily on Channel 5's news magazine, "Prime Time Access." Fernandez was a general assignment reporter for KUTV from 1977 to 1978. From 1978 to 1980, she worked as a reporter for KALL Radio. In 1980, she returned to KUTV to do general reporting. For the past two years, she has specialized in medical reporting for KUTV. Fernandez provided in-depth coverage of the Barney Clark heart transplant for KUTV, the NBC network and its affiliates. Fernandez, a Utah native, attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Utah in 1976. She is married to artist David Fernandez. They have two children, Benjamin and Samantha. |
