It's an informal group where concerned concern-ed parents can learn why kids use drugs and what skills they can develop to prevent drug problems. The interests and concerns of the group's members will determine the specific direction of the discussions. The first meeting is Tuesday, May 15, 6:30 p.m. at The Prevention Center, Park Meadows Plaza, Suite C-100. At that time they will discuss the group's interests as well as a convenient con-venient meeting time and place. Dads, moms, and grandparents are all invited. (524) Little League sponsors The Recreation Department is in need of Little League sponsors. Help Park City's soon-to-become big leaguers by becoming a sponsor for the season. All contributions will be tax deductible and will go towards outfitting your special team with the donor's logo. Community Clinic The Park City Community Clinic is a non-profit family planning and reproductive health program. Appointments are available for morning, afternoon and evening. Examinations are performed by a nurse practitioner. Services offered include: physical exam, PAP tests, counseling coun-seling and education, VD screening, pregnancy testing and contraceptive supplies. Costs for these services are reasonable. (tfn) Freshman orientation There will be an orientation day at the Park City High School for incoming freshmen on May 18 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Parents and students are invited to attend small group sessions in which teachers will explain graduation requirements, school rules and expectations, and individual schedules. (517) Hawaii tickets available The boys' ll-and-12-year-old soccer team is working hard to represent Park City in a tournament to be held in Oahu, Hawaii this June. (517) Glenwood Cemetery As soon as road conditions permit, the Glenwood Cemetery will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekend days during May for people who want to work on the graves. (524) New Memorial Building hours Beginning in May, the Recreation Department will have new weekend hours. (510) Main Street shuttle Park City Transit's regularly scheduled bus service has ended for the season. When construction begins on Main Street, hourly service will be provided to the outlying routes (Prospector Square, Park Meadows, Thaynes Canyon and Deer Valley) from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Main Street shuttle buses will run every 10 minutes, the first bus leaving the Park City Ski Area at 7:10 a.m., the last bus leaving Swede Alley and Fourth Street at 12:30 a.m. Please park your car in the Park City Ski Area parking lot and ride the free Main Street shuttle. Groups will focus on how to free oneself from anger, guilt, and self-denial, increase job satisfaction, achieve a more rewarding social life, resolve interpersonal conflict, and how to handle put-downs and rejection.
