S" J? vt y. - n Jim Buckman of the Park City Ski Area Ski Patrol has been named 1983-'84 Employee Em-ployee of the Year, Phil Jones, president and general manager of the Park City Ski Area announced Tuesday. At the end of each ski season, the Park City Ski Area selects one individual from its staff of 500 as Employee of the Year. "Nominations for Employee Employ-ee of the Year are selected from the Employee of the Month Competition, held throughout the ski season," Jones said. This year's Employee of the Month nominees were: Jac-que Jac-que Gillespie (Ticket Office), John Holian (Lift Operations), Opera-tions), Jim Buckman (Ski Patrol), Cathy Scroggins (Kinderschule) and Mariam Barnett (Ski School). Each was awarded a $200 check from the Park City Ski Area management. "The Employee of the Year is selected as the employee who personifies the ideal image and work habits that the Park City Ski Area is attempting to exemplify," exemp-lify," Jones continued. "Mr. Buckman is one of the most dedicated and professional employees that the Park City Ski Area has ever employed, demonstrating demonstrat-ing those traits and values befitting the positive image and respected reputation that the company has strived to maintain." Buckman has been with the Park City Ski Area for five years. Prior to joining the Ski Patrol, he served as a lift operator. When notified of his selection, Buckman said, "It's an honor and a privilege to be selected as the Park City Ski Area Employee of the Year, knowing how many other deserving and worthy employees there are in the company." Buckman will receive a trip for two to Hawaii, including air fare and lodging, compliments compli-ments of Morris Travel and Village Resorts Inc.
