Show Ladies of Elks install officers The Park City Ladies of Elks (L.O.E.) installed their officers for 1984-85 at ceremonies held April 28. Named president for the coming year was Sheree Nelson. Also installed were Vice President Erma Baird, Secretary Genny Butkovich, Treasurer Elaine Jarvis and Historian Judy Putman. Gaye Wright, Louise Weight and Kaye Buckingham, L.O.E. past state presidents, assisted with the candlelight ceremony. Honored after the installation in-stallation was Marge Langford, a charter member who has been active in the Park City L.O.E. for 39 years. Special guests at the Inaugural Ball were: Bill Buckingham, past president of the Utah State Elks Association, and his wife Kaye; Dan Wright, past state president and past district deputy, and his wife Gaye; Dennis McGuire, past state president and district deputy Grand Exalted Ruler North, and his wife Colleen; and Myron Carpenter, third vice president and past district deputy, and his wife Paulette. On April 14 the Park City Elks Lodge No. 734 hosted a dance to raise money for the Utah Elks Association "Hoop Shoot." To Utah teenagers participated in the National "Hoop Shoot" free-throw free-throw program this year in Indianapolis, Indiana. Elks members from CottonwoodMurray, Cotton-woodMurray, Roy, Bountiful, Boun-tiful, Salt Lake City and Park City participated in this activity. |
