Show ENGINEER HAS ' A BUSY SEASON Work Ahead Will Keep Engineer Bostaph and His Men Hard at Work for Weeks to Dome Surveyors Arc Working on the Canyon Conduit. Assistant Engineer Roach states that the preliminary survey for the 1 cnoduil from Coldwatcr canyon to tlio city reservoir has been completed aud as soou as a topographical may can be made of the canyon, the plans and specifications for the conduit will be made and bids for the construction advertised. Engineer Bostaph states that there is much work to be done by tho engineering en-gineering department in relation to water main extensions to West Ogden Og-den and other sections of tho city which will naturally retard the progress prog-ress In the Coldwatcr canyon project. Insofar as theenglneerlng department 1 is concerned, and 11 is likely ihnt it will be three weeks or n month before be-fore the plans for the Cold water canyon can-yon conduit can be prepared for the use of the ocntractors. The department Is also looking alter alt-er the paving plans for Washington and Hudson avenues, and the engineer is anxious to get the contractors at v.crk on this lruiorUtnt job before tho season Is too far gone. The excavations of the old building'? on Hudson avenue are being rapidly filled in and all the buildings that were in the way of the avenue huve been practically torn down. r Grading on Washington avenue cun be started at any time. |
