Show Ten More Are Expected Expect-ed to be Indicted by the Grand Jury Chicaco. Sept. 13. It -Is expected j that two more meat packers will bo Indicted by the federal grand jury which yesterday charged ten Chicago packers with conspiracy and illegal monopoly and today the government announced its intention to force early trial of all. The additional indictments, indict-ments, it Is intimated, may not come, until the ten men already named have given bonds. Kaon must provide 210,000 personal bond on each of the three indictments returned, Judge Landis decided. N'anc of the men. against whom presentments have been presented, was in court today when the matter of their arrest was brought up by Special Spe-cial Assistant United States District Utorney Wllkerson. He asked that warrants be issued forthwith for detention de-tention of the packers Indicted. Attorney At-torney John S. Miller, senior counsel for the packers, explained the absonco of the defendants. "Two of them are In ICurope," he told the court, "and the others have their big business affairs to attend to. Though they are ready to appear, j if I hey must, we would like rmis-1 rmis-1 slon to enter bonds for them with the clerk of the court, unless your honor Insists on their appearance before yon." ''What amount of bond would yon sugeest"" asked the court "It was $5,oon lhe years ago and that is satisfactory," answered Attorney Attor-ney Miller. The attorneys for the government objected, however, asserting that it be made at least $10,000 each on each of the three Indictments, and to this the packers' attorneys absented. Notuiug was said in court as to when the defendants should appear to stand trial. I'nited States District Attorney Edwin Ed-win Sims, however, said later that an effort would be made to push it ahead, and Attorney toy" Mayer, speaking for the packers, said no de-lay de-lay would be sought by the defense. Who the men later to be Indicted are was kept a close secret with tho government's attorneys. It is understood under-stood only one packer and another trom Chicago were to be named.
