Fcbrunry 1G-17, 1 "The Fortune Hunter," a delightful comedy in four acts by Winchell Smith, author of "Turn to the Right." j The Fortune Hunter" has been Splayed before large audiences through-I through-I out the country for several years and lit tCJs especially adapted to high school student ability. "The Fortune Hunter" deals with a young man who has failed In business, but who is sent to the country by his successful chum to marry an heiress. His experiences with the heiress and with the country folk make the story one of great interest. Stanley Rhees will be seen in the role of Nat Duncan the "fortune hunter." hunt-er." Mr. Rhees' experience in the school play last year has ably fitted him to carry this part successfully. John Croft will carry the very heavy part of an old village inventor. Other male characters of the play will be Robert Newman, Kenneth Farley, Far-ley, William Kaslus, Golden Bingham, Walter Stevenson. Grant Dalstrom and Leroy Johnston. Miss Cora Mortcnsen will be seen as Betty Graham playing opposite Mr. Rhees. Amanda Chamberlin playing oppo- site William Kasius has an excellent part in the role of "Angie." Miss Chamberlin will no doubt handle this part nicely. The country heiress is ably played by Miss Georgia TaiL Rehearsals arc being held nightly by Mrs. McKec in the school auditorium, auditor-ium, and an excellent production of "The Fortune Hunter" is assured. |
