While other members of the family are permitted to go at large, they should conscientiously conscien-tiously protect others by remaining at home should any symptoms of a cold or Influenza appear. The disease usually begins in forty-eight hours after exposure to an affected person. Persons caring for a case of influenza influ-enza should wear a mask and observe the other precautions described in the circular issued by the State Board of Health. If these precautions are followed fol-lowed there is no ground for. the unreasoning un-reasoning fear manifested by many people who are deterred from' rendering render-ing assistance in cases of great necessity. ne-cessity. The symptoms of influenza may be those of an ordinary cold, but are usually us-ually more severe. The serious complications com-plications usually occur as a result of not remaining in bed until fully recovered. re-covered. To avoid taking the disease: Keep away from crowds. Look upon everyone every-one as possibly infected and avoid close contact in talking. As a further precaution, wear a mask when mingling ming-ling with other people. This is especially espe-cially imp6rtant for those whose employment em-ployment exposes them to contact with the public, such as clerks, ticket agents, etc. Live in the open as much as possible and keep tho windows open at night to fortify tho resistance of the body.
