Beckett, Sr., of the United States employment office reports lhatj the service of his office is being called i upon to secure a large number of i men for the motor transport corps k of the army. A few will be used at home and the remainder for overseas duty. Recruiting will cease next Fri- ' day unless otherwise ordered. ; Approximately S0.000 men are wanted. Among the occupations men- f ! Honed are accountants, clerks and stenographers for clerical work; mis- : cellaneous trades, including black- I smith, carpenters, electricians, ma- ! chinists and handymen, and also men ' experienced in the repair and assembly of automobile parts. Men between the ages of IS and 45 ; may be inducted. Men between the ages of 46 and' 56 may enlist if especially espe-cially qualified. All will be immed- i iately inducted into the service at army pay. Exceptional opportunities ; for advancement and commissions arej offered those qualified. Men in all classes of the draft will be accepted, even those qualified for limited military mili-tary service only and those physically 1 disqualified for the draft if able to do t the work. |
