Show Chicago Quotations V J CHICAGO, Oct. 23. Fresh advices! took place today in the corn market influenced mainly by prevailing bullish views of the war outlook. Some attention, atten-tion, however, was also given to reports re-ports of car scarcity. Sellers were scarce except on bulges. Opening prices, which ranged from to 2c higher, with November $1.24 to 1.24 and December $1.214 to 1.22 were followed by a slight reaction. Diplomatic and military developments develop-ments still ruled the oats market. As in the case of corn new strength was shown. After opening to c higher, with November 68J,4 to 68c, prices remained firm. Provisions were slowto open. The tendencyof values, however, was upgrade up-grade with cereals. Bullish sentiment grew much more pronounced during the late corn dealings deal-ings and there were sharp gains over the earlier top figures. The market closed strong 3 to ic net higher with November $1.27 & to 1.27 and December $1.24 to 1.24V&- Subsequently buying support became poor and the provision market underwent under-went a decided setback.
