The new concern is Incorporated in Delaware and is headed by Edward J. Nally, first vice-president and general manager of the Western Union Telegraph, Tele-graph, company. The announcement says It has acquired the right io use all patents and concessions ot the American and English Marconi companies com-panies as well as the Poulsen-Peder-sen system. Tho Marconi company owns a majority of the stock of the Pan-American concern. "The United States government has set its seal of approval on the new en-, torprlse," tho company's statement reads: "Recognizing that tho establishment of closer trado relations has suffered through the lack of cheaper, more direct di-rect and extensive communication. The Marconi company has extended its zone of activities so that it now will be able to cover all America, whereas it has heretofore been confined to the United States and dependencies, all foreign stations having boen under the control of foreign corporations." oo . |
