NINE BOMBS DEPOSITED Executive Mansion, Capitol, Police Station and Two Residences in Danger. SACRAMENTO, Cal., Dec. 26 A letter saying that nine bombs had been placed in the executive mansion, Capitol Capi-tol building, police station and residences resi-dences of "two bead officers of the slate" has been received by Governor Samuel D. Stephens and turned over to the police, it became known today. The letter demanded that $50,000 be placed "in a rock pile." presumably near Oakland. Oak-land. Cal., December 31 at 3 o'clock Tho envelope containing tho letter was postmarked Oakland, Cal.. and was mailed December 24, at 4n. m. It was printed with type and. was signed "C. C. C. of C." Tho letter was similar to one received re-ceived by U. S." Sen. Hiram Johnson when he was a governor. A diagram on the back of the letter indicated' the rfolnt'vttiere "the" money was to be left was near Oakland, the police said. Efforts to trace tho source of the letter probably will be made by fed-oral fed-oral authorities who have taken over the investigation of an alleged dynamiting dyna-miting conspiracy in connection with the arrests here of A.
