Show FISHERIES DISPUTE HAS BEEN ENDED WASHINGTON, June 9. An agree- H ment on the Canadian fisheries dispute H has been reached, whereby American H fishermen landing their catch in an jH Alaskan port can transport them by IH steam to Prince Rupert and then ship H them in bond without undue discrimin- H ation against the United States. H Conflicting national interests in the l north Pacific fisheries have led to a H very serlouB situation, resulting in re- lfl prisals and bitter reeling along the IH coast The American fishermen con- ,H tended that the Canadians have at- : tracted them to Canadian bases and then placed such difficulties in their jH way as to render their continued oper- IH ation impossible. . The settlement affects the Atlantic H fisheries only in that it removes the H possibility that Canada would with- H draw privileges now given to Amer- jH icans there in rettaliation for the Pa- IH cific trouble.
