Show ! MANY SOCIAL EVENTS I IN JUNE. I There has been a social background ; to many of the fetirring Avar events oi the week, and this interesting phase promises to keep up indefinitely, and society so far has not yet received a setback. Sunday the Tagore program, which proved one of the season's great successes both artistically and financially, finan-cially, was given for the benefit of the Red Cross chapter. Many commencement exercises closed clos-ed the season's labor, and showed a marked improvement in the musical and school life's advancement. Weddings Wed-dings keep up the social Interest in town and many announcements have bpen made. , Mrs. Jack Browning, whoso efficient services to the Red Cross is being marked everywhere, gave a charming luncheon this week at the Weber club Iq honor two popular out-of-town guests, Mrs. Nye of Denver and Mr?. Franken of Salt Lake, and who, it will be remembered, are daughters of Mrs. T. A. Webber of the latter city, and whose Interest and service to the national na-tional and local Rod Cvoss is paramount para-mount to all else at this time. Mrs. Browning had for her guests beside the guests of honor, Mrs. L. R. Eccles, Mrs. J. H. DeVine, Mrs. Rose S. Woodruff, Wood-ruff, Mrs. R, A. Boyd and Mrs. W. H. Shearman. |
