A charming breakfast followed at tho Hotel Utah, where plates were laid for the immcdlato family of tho bride and included also Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rlcka, Mr. David McKay, David O. McKay, Dr.' and Mrs George B. Hill of Logan and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Farr of Smithfleld. On the evonlng evon-lng of the same day Mr. and Mrs. Ricks departed for Chicago, where Mr. Ricks will take a summer courso in tho Chicago university. Upon their return In the fall Mr. Ricks will bo-come bo-come one of tho faculty at the Weber academy. DOUGLAS-PINGREE. One of the prettiest weddings of this season was celebrated on Monday Mon-day evening when Miss Ruth Douglas became tho bride of John Pingreo, Jr., Bishop Beosloy of Salt Lake performing perform-ing tho ceremony. The bride was attended at-tended by Miss Gertrude Weathorby and the groom's best man was John R. Mosher of Salt Lake. For tho ceremony cer-emony tho bridal party stood before the mantle which was banked with beautiful flowers, gladlolas peeping out of green follago which formed a fitting background to one of tho loveliest love-liest of brides and with dainty head bowed in modest happiness tho Btrains of Ave Maria in quiet sympathy united still further tho lives of these two hearts. The bride wore a dainty and unusual gown fashioned of Georgette crepe and decolette net with silver lace trimmings, the long net veil had sprays of orange blossoms and was edged with pearls. She carried a bouquet bou-quet of lilies of the valley with shower show-er of white tulle and ribbon tied adiantum exquisite is the only word for Miss Weathorby, who wore pink satin, Francals, and carrlod a Wilson baskot of Cecil Breuner roses and adiantum and the tiny two bewitching bewitch-ing little maids, Miss Frances Cannon Can-non and Ruth Taylor, in their role of flower girls, wore dresses of pink net, and their hair was entwined in tiny rosebuds and they carried baskets of rose leaves which paved the way to the dining-room, whero dainty refreshments refresh-ments wore served, while 200 guests thronged tho large living room, decorated decor-ated lavishly In lilacs and pink gladio-Lis, gladio-Lis, with plumosa in the drawing room whero tho couple were married. The librarv. too. was pretty in opehlia roses and white lilacs and tho dining-room dining-room was a complete bower in "Shaw-yer" "Shaw-yer" roses, long stemmed and pink. The couple left on tho midnight train for Portland, Ore., whero they will spend their honeymoon. Tho out-of-town guests were: Mr. John Pingreo, father of the groom; Bishop and Mrs. Beesley, Mrs. Wm. Snow, Mrs. Florence Grant Wright, Sterling Snow, Harvey Snow, Mrs. Gordon Snow, Miss Daisey Rolapp, Mr. and Mrs. Richard West, Mrs. David Pingreo and daughter Celeste, all of Salt Lake; Mrs. Dee PIngree of Po-catello, Po-catello, Mrs. Amanda Cook of Layton and her son Howard, Lillian and Grace Halverson from Brlgham. ANDERSON-SMITH. On Wednesday at noon Miss Violet Anderson, tho lovely daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Anderson, and Prof. Marcellus Smith wero married at high noon In the Salt Lake Temple, after which they motored to Payson, where, at the homo of Mr. Smith's parents, they wore entertained at a dinner dance. After returning to this city for a short stay they will depart for Chicago where, for a month, Mr. Smith will tako a post-graduate course In the Chicago university department of music and on their home-coming in the early fall will take a cottage in the canyon. BUNE-DeLONG. A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of tho bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. JameB Buno, 2060 Jefferson avenue, when the contracting parties were Miss Josephine Buno and Mr. Joseph DeLong, Rev. Edward Carver officiating. Noon was tho choson hour and a delightful family gathering at a charmingly appointed dinner terminated termi-nated the festivities. Mr. and Mrs. DeLong motored to Salt Lake, whero the honeymoon will bo spent. Upon their return they will occupy a cottage near the power plant in the canyon. WEDDING INVITATIONS OUT. Mrs. James H.
