That this will be the rapid method used by the stale to secure adequate training of the National Na-tional Guard In Its new tactics Is a freely expressed, although no official orders have been issued. If such a school Is arranged, it Is probable that all commissioned officers, offi-cers, sergeants and corporals will be assembled in camp before the first of July and will be given at least five weeks' training, under organization as a provisional battery. At the end of the training camp, the mobilization of the Utah National guard will be started, start-ed, on August 5. The officers will then be. it is considered, well trained to handle the drilling of the new ar- tdlery regiment In all its phases. Equipment is now on hand for one battery, which can be used at the officers' of-ficers' training camp. Before August 5 the remainder of the equipment will be received. Probably some arrangements arrange-ments will also be made to have officers of-ficers designated to drill the enlisted men as fully as possible even while the tiainlng camp is being operated. |
