Show FOOD SUPPLIES OF UTAH TO BE LISTED Survey of Utah to determine to the last item what food supplies are on hand and what crops may bo expected has been begun by direction of the state council of defense committee on food control and Investigation. The state council recommended to Governor Bamberger a short time ago that such a survey be made that the state might know exactly its condition, both as to food and crops. Governor Bamberger approved the suggestion, and the task of making this survey was turned over to the state dairy and food department and tho state statistician. statis-tician. Commissioner Walter M. Boyden of the food and dairy commission has appointed ap-pointed H. P. Frye as the first of the deputies in his department to handle tho survey, while Francis D. Brown, state statistician, has begun the work falling to his office. He has written to county assessors, Instructing all to forward to him their estimated crop reports on all farm products, Including Includ-ing wheat and other grains, potatoes, hay, all orchard fruits, vegetables, dairy products, eggs and poultry, honey and livestock. Commissioner Boyden expects to be able to make a report of his survey in about three weeks, while Mr. Brown I will probably be ready to report June 15 or June 20. oo |
