Show TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR THE FARMERS EL PASO, May 22. County Demonstrator Demon-strator A. G. Graham has issued the following ton commandments for farmers farm-ers of the El Paso valley In the interest in-terest of increasing tho food supply of the nation during tho war: One 'Make every available acre produce pro-duce a crop tills season. Two Prepare land to receive crops at the very earliest date. Three Plant, cultivate and water properly the staple crops adapted to your locality. Four Plant crops for which the production pro-duction of this country does not equal the consumption, such as frijolcs, lima beans, sweet potatoes, garden truck, etc. Five Plant enough feed crops such as corn and grain sorghum to feed the live stock of tho county. Six Plant gardens large enough to at least supply the needs of your own home. Eliminate tho waste of the home garden by canning and preserving the surplus fruits and vegetables. Eight Prepare containers for canning can-ning early, for there is a scarcity of tins. Nine See that the crop is prepared for tho market in proper shape without with-out waste. Ten Co-operate. Farmers should co-operate with one another and bankers bank-ers and business men should co-operate with the farmers in tho face of the war. |
