The coronation of H iuan Shi Kai as emperor of China H nas been postponed Indefinitely. The IQ reason given officially is the upris-R upris-R mg in southern China. HE I Tne foreign office notified the vari- Hj , ous legations today that the Chinese H . government had decided that the en- H throneraent would take place early in February, but that Yuan Shi Kai l had issued an order cancelling the K arrangements in view of the disturb-H; disturb-H; ances In the Yunnan province. No K intimation was given as to when the K enthronement will take place. 1 Government officials estimate that Hj -not moro than six months will be re- H quired to quiet the disturbances in Hj the south.
