Show "THE ONLY GIRL" BEST L C0W1EDY COMING "The Only Girl," one of the great successes of last season in New York, will be offered at the Orpheum Theater Thea-ter next T-hursday night, January 27th. by Joe Weber. "The Only Girl" is a musLcal comedy, book and lyrics by Henry Blossom, with music by Victor Vic-tor Herbert, and was produced under the stage direction of Fred G. Latham It was one of the few hits on Broadway Broad-way last season and ran out the entire en-tire year. Hb chief bid for success was made through the fact that as a play it could have been done without music, as it contains a well framed story, replete with witty dialogue and humorous situations. This, to which Victor Herbert added a score that is brilliant and tuneful, brought approval of a most substantial order. The story concerns principally a young writer of musical comedy hb-lettos, hb-lettos, who is a confirmed woman hater, whose downfall from his position posi-tion in this respect is brought about through the fact that he is obliged to accept as a collaborator a young musician musi-cian of the feminine sex. Manager Joe Weber, who Is the owner and producer of this new musical mu-sical piece, promises a superior production pro-duction and cast in "The Only Girl." There will be a chorus of pretty girls arrayed In up-to-dato finery and there is to be an augmented orchestra, the members of which have been selected by Mr. Herbert himself.
