"The Blood of Our Brothers" Is one of the greatest arguments against war and its horrors ever advanced. It is treated allegorically and In this way not only retains its intensity but is given an added charm. The play deals with a happily married mar-ried young fanner who is suddenly called to war and who having a horror for shedding blood, refused, only to meet with cries of cowardice fiom all sides. Returning to his home one day he finds tho dead bodies of his wife, child and parents, victims of a band of the enemy's rovers. From then on the young herder, breathing vengeance forgets his hate for warfare war-fare and finally wreaks vengeance on those responsible for the destruction of his family. "The Blood of Our Brothers" will be shown at the Rex Theatre on Sunday. |
