Show Society LEAP YEAR HIGH FIVE CLUB. The Leap Year High Five club met at the home of Mrs. II Brummell, Helena Hotel, 213 1-2 Twentv-flfth street, February 26. Guests of honor were Mr. Louis Nichols and Mr. H. Brummell. Honors at cards were given giv-en to Mr John Holiday, Mr. Orson Newey. Mrs. David Turner, Mrs. Mary Butterfield, Mrs. I. D. Harris, after which luncheon was served by the hostess assisted by Miss Helena But-terfiold. But-terfiold. Those present were: Mr and Mrs. Orson Newey, Mr. and Mrs. John Holding, Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Harris, Mrs. A. L. Turner, Mrs. A. C. Powers Mrs. David Turner, Mrs. John Green, Mrs Mary Butterfield, Miss Helena Butterfield, Mr and Mrs. Harry Row-ell. Row-ell. Mrs. H. Brummell. Tho club will meet at the home of Mrs. David Turner, 264S Van Buren March 4th. Mrs H. K. Hoff was the charming ! hostess to members of the Nedgo ' club, Wednesday, at her home, 2200 I Jackson nvenue. Tho afternoon was spent in playing high-five, honors going go-ing to Sarah Baumeister, May PIgnon and W. Shipley At 5 o'clock a very dainty luncheon was served. The olub will meet in two weeks with Mrs H. PIgnon. Mrs Thomas Maltman entertained the members of her card club at her home 31G7 Hudson avenue Wednesday Wednes-day evening at a "500" party. Mrs Harlin winning first prize. After I cards Mrs. Maltman served a delicious luncheon. The members present were Mrs. Robert Harlin, Mrs. Lee Cham-berlin, Cham-berlin, Mrs. Fred D. Williams, Mrs. Jesse G. Stratford, Mrs. Charles H. Lunt, Mrs. Thomas Maltman, Mrs. Margaret Clark and Miss Lillian Law-son. Law-son. Mrs. Harlin will be hostess to the club March 9th. DINNER TONIGHT. Queen Esther Chapter No. 4, O. E. S. will give a dinner in the Masonic parlors tonight at 6 o'clock to which all visiting ladies are invited. HISTORICAL SOCIETY. The Historical Society, will meet at the Maids' and Matrons' club tomorrow tomor-row afternoon with Mrs. G-. W. Perkins Per-kins as .hostess Child Welfare Day will be observed. The United Commercial Travelers will give another of their delightful dances tomorrow evening in the Royal hall. A good time is anticipated. Miss Thatcher's orchestra will furnish the music. MRS. CARR HOSTESS. Mrs. Thomas Carr was hostess to her club Saturday evening last. In addition to the club members, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Taylor Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gentsch were present. FIVE HUNDRED CLUB. The 500 club ladies and a number of guests will be entertained by Mrs. R. T. Hume tomorrow iifternoon at her home, 557 Twenty -fifth street. |
