CITY FOB CURB ID SEWER TAX At a meeting of the city board of commissioners this morning, the recommendation of City Treasurer Carl Allison that property in Sewer Districts 111 and 112, and curb and gutter districts 103 and 105, bo sold for special tax delinquency, was adopted nnd a resolution to that effect directed to be drawn. The auditor was Instructed to draw a warrant In favor of the Green Construction Con-struction company for $113.62 as final payment for digging trench in Ogden canyon for the artesian wells pipe line extension. For repairs on the county road, where tho pipe line traversed it, the county had previously previous-ly been paid $601.38. The Green company contends that the city is owning $715 on the contract, con-tract, but the city has been holding out a certain amount to defray the expense of repairing the county road which was damaged by the construction construc-tion company in its excavation work. The offer of only $113.62 may lead to a law suit, as tho Green company has heretofore said it would not settle for less than about ?500, Tho petition for an nr-o light on Twenty-first street and Harrison avenue, ave-nue, was referred to tho superintendent superinten-dent of streets. Yesterday afternoon, the board allowed al-lowed department payrolls amounting amount-ing to $10,356.15 and a claim from the department of public affairs and finance for $101.50. The auditor was directed to draw warrants for the several sev-eral amountB. |
