Show KENTUCKY RACE CLOSES ENTRIES Louisville, Ky., March 2 Entries to the forty-second annual renewal of the Kentucky derby closed at midnight mid-night last night with what horsemen predicted will be the largest number of possible starters in tho history of tho stake. The list, however, probably prob-ably will not be announced for two or thiee weeks. It Is known that It will Include all of last year's 2-year-old stars. The race this year, with $10,000 added add-ed money, will be worth approximately approximate-ly 15,000 to the winner. Of the crack 3-year-olds thought to have been named to go in the race are Thunderer, full brother to Regret; Dodge, George Smith, Bulge, King Neptune, Bromo, Gillies, Big Smoke, Tlng-a-llng, Candle and Tom Edwards. The derby is at a mllo and a quarter for 3-year-olds. 00 |
