Show WIRT, OKLAHOMA, HAS A BIG FIRE Wirt, Okln., Jan. 17. Twelve hun-dred hun-dred persons are homeless here to-night, to-night, following a tire which today destroyed the business section of the town, including hotels and rooming houses occupied by oil operators and their families. The property loss is estimated at $150,000. A gasoline explosion ex-plosion in a small tailor shop before noon started the fire. "Four men were shot, two of them probably fatally, in gun fights which followed the looting of quantities of liquor found in the business section. Deputy United States Marshal Knight of Ardmore, Sheriff James Bif-tle Bif-tle and other officers from Ardmore ma RIngling are assisting the local constable in maintaining peace tonight to-night Dr. F. Brewer of RIngling has shipped" ship-ped" 500 tents and .food supplies from Ardmoro. They are expected to arrive ar-rive Jate tonight. A large club building build-ing here also has been placed at the disposal of the homeless.
