Show oo COMMON SENSE ON EUGENICS. A Chicago physician recently put forward the old, impracticable doctrine doc-trine that no one should be allowed to marry unless he could show a certificate certi-ficate of health. There is nothing new, and, under present conditions, there is nothing workable about that device; but the very doctor who urged urg-ed it made a suggestion which renders ren-ders the desired law needless. He urged all fathers of marriageable daughters to inquire carefully Into tho physical condition of a prospective son-in-law. Here is a bit of eugenics which de-dends de-dends not on legislation, but on plain common sense. Clearly, anv father has a right to guard the health of his child, and if he has given his daughters daugh-ters the proper training they will support sup-port him In the exercise of that rlghL Such a plnn may not be "Impressive."
