Poole 1 was permitted to avoid trial on a H felony charge and to plead guilty to j a misdemeanor yesterday in municipal j court. In the original complaint, pM! Poole was charged with issuing a j worthless check to the Ogden Egg f company In payment for 10 cases of H eggs. The amount of the check, $77, 1 made the crlme a felony. Manager g) Hogenson of the egg company, how- Iever, agreed, with the consent of the county attorney, to amend the complaint com-plaint changing the amount of money Involved to $49 and the charge to a misdemeanor, in consideration of full payment for the ten cases of eggs. i To meet the ends of justice, Poole was then tried on the lesser charge jj and pleaded guilty. He was given a J lecture by Judge Barker and then j fined $15, on the recommendation of n j the county attorney. |
