Show PIONEER WOMAN DIES. Spanish Fork, Jan. 11. Mrs. Emma Reese, one of the pioneer residents of Spanish Fork and prominent worker work-er for many years in the religious work of the community, died at her home in the Third ward yesterday of heart failure, brought on by rheumatism, rheuma-tism, from which she had suffered several weeks. It was not suspected j thai her illness was serious and her death comes as a great shock to her many friends Mrs Reese was born In Wales seventy-five years ago. She was the widow of Alford Reese, who died four years ago and who was prominent in the civic life of the early settlement of Spanish Fork having filled many-places many-places of trust and honor. The couple cou-ple came here with the first pioneers in 1852. and hu. .nude their home here since then. |
