Show W. H. WATTIS AS PRESIDENT. Much interest was displayed In the Wcbor club election yesterday and, as a result, a very large vote was polled Two of the mo6t popular and capable cap-able men aspired to the presidency and there could have been no mistake mis-take in electing either. As it was, W, H. Wattls. head of the Utah Construction Con-struction company, generally recognized recog-nized as one of the greatest actual builders of railroads in the country, was honored with a majority of the votes and from now on has the title of "President" affixed to his name Mr. Wattis has a great mission to perform, by many considered as important im-portant as that of the mayor of the city. lie will be the spokesman of the commercial and industrial interests inter-ests of Ogden during perhaps the most auspicious year in the history of tliis growing community. He will hae an opportunity to add to Og den's prestige and it is our opinion he will be equal to the task. He has our best wishes and our undivided support. |
