Show WILDER 15 BOOKED FOB THE HIM Manager Joseph Goss of the Or-pheum Or-pheum theatre received a telegram yesterday announcing the death of Marshall P. Wilder, the famous author au-thor and humorist, who was to have appeared at the Orpheum as a Marcus Loew attraction in March. The humorist died at a hotel in St Paul, Mich., Sunday morning and the body was shipped to relatives in New ork. He was born in Geneva, N. T., in 1859, and became an entertainer enter-tainer at an early age and in this rapacity appeared at one time before English royalty. Among his best known books are "The Sunny Side of the Street" and "Smiling Around the World. ' He was one of the highest priced entertainers ever booked for vaudeville and the manager of the local playhouse stated that he wai but one of many who deeply regretted! his untimely demise |
