Show SLIPPERY STREETS CAUSE ACCIDENTS Salt Lake, Juno 25. The slippery streets, resulting from the rain yesterday yes-terday evening caused two painful accidents ac-cidents to women. Mrs. W. J. Woodcock Wood-cock of 443 outh First West street came from the Mehesy theater at 8 o'clock on the arm of her husband. As sho stepped upon tho wet sidewalk she Blipped and fell to the pavement, striking on tho back of her head. She was rendered unconscious for several minutes, though not seriously hurt Upon recovering Mrs. Woodcock was taken to her home in the police ambulance. am-bulance. The other victim was Miss Louise Griffiths, of 85 Quince street She was riding horeback with a friend, on. Ninth South near Third East, when her horse -slipped and fell. Miss Griffiths was thrown to the ground and stunned Other than painful bruises and scratches she was not hurt. After being attended in a drug store nearby, the young lady was taken to her home by the police. |
