Show GOOD CROPS AND SOME POLITICS J. W. Abbott, general manager of the Geo. A. Lowe company, who returned re-turned a few days ago from an ox-tended ox-tended trip through the east, claims that the crop outlook was never bettor bet-tor than this season. From Boston to Ogdon, according to Mr. Abbott, the countrv Is just one broad, fertile, garden plot, and the prospects for record breaking crops are extraordinarily extraordi-narily good. Especially In the middle mid-dle west thoro Is promise of an abundant abun-dant vlcld of grain. During his trip. Mr. Abbott attended tho convention of Charities and Corrections Cor-rections at Cleveland, Ohio, as a representative rep-resentative of the city of Ogden and a member of the board of Utah s Industrial In-dustrial school. Tho convention was largely attended by charity workers work-ers and Industrial school workers, and a great many helpful addresses were read by recognized leaders In the various branches of charity and correction. , .... According to Mr. Abbott, the political politi-cal sentiment In Massachusetts Is strongly In favor of Roosevelt. In Iscw York City ho found It to bo against Roosevelt, but he declares that the masses throughout tho east want Roosevelt while the big Interests wont Taft. |
