Dye has been authorized by the county commissioners com-missioners to advertise for bids for the hauling of crushed rock from the county cruBher in Ogden canyon, near tho Idlowlld resort, to the Rlverdale and Wilson road districts. The contract con-tract will be for 5.000 tons and it must be hauled during the months of July and August. Tho qrushor In tho canyon can furnish fur-nish enough crushed rock for macadamizing macad-amizing roads In tho county to keep both of tho county steam rollers at work, and to this end the commissioners commis-sioners are asking for bldB for the hauling of the crushed material from the crushor to tho districts outside tho canyon. A force of men and teams is busy making a macadam road from Hunts"-vlllo Hunts"-vlllo to the Hermitage end of the boulevard in the canyon and there will bo no letup on the work until the canyon boulevard from Ogden to Huntavillo shall have been completed. Claims amounting to $6,000 were allowed al-lowed by tho county commissioners last evening, $1,000 of which wag part payment on the new road roller recently re-cently purchased. County Bee Inspector C. E. Pottl-grew Pottl-grew reported that he had completed tho Inspection of 2,900 colonics of bees in the county this year and had found only seventeen colonies affoct-ed affoct-ed with foul brood. Tho diseased colonics col-onics were ordered destroyed. |
