Show uu UTAH DELEGATES AT BALTIiRE Baltimore, June 25. The map of the United States showing the states carried by Champ Clark is on exhibition exhi-bition at the Hotel Emerson. The map shows the presidential preference of the delegates from every state In the United States except Utah. Utah's placo on the map Is occupied by a portrait of Champ Clark. This has occasioned considerable adverse criticism crit-icism by the Utah delegates, a majority major-ity of whom favor Wilson. A poll of tho Utah delegates indicates indi-cates that Clark will receive one vote, Harmon one and Wilson six. Utah has sixteen delegates, each of whom has one-half vote. Bransford and Burton will vote for Clark, Dern and McAndrew for Harmon and tho others for Wilson. At a caucus of tho Utah delegation delega-tion W. R. Wallace, member of the national committee, asked for an expression ex-pression of the delegates relative to the candidacy of Alton B. Parker for temporary chairman. All of tho delegates expressed a desire de-sire for party harmony, but they differed dif-fered somewhat in their mothods of securing this. Tn a vote of the thirteen thir-teen delegates at the caucus Ave favored fa-vored Judge Parker and seven opposed op-posed him. Mr. Wallace did not vote. Mr. Wallace then asked how many wero opposed to tho nomination of Bryan for president. The delegates by a vote that was almost unanimous declared de-clared tholr opposition to Bryan, although al-though some qualified this by stating that Bryan was their second choice. |
