Show MANY HORSES ARE COiNGJ OGDEN Within tho next two weeks there will be a noticeable activity at tho Fair grounds race track In preparation prepara-tion for the spring meeting, which will open early in May. There are already about K0 head of horses at the Ogden and Salt Lake tracks and fifteen carloads, consisting of about 125 horses, will leave the Oakland traok on April 18, bound for this city. Several carloads from Juarez, Mexico, Mex-ico, aro expected to arrive shortly. J. H. Keene will be among tho early arrivals ar-rivals with a string of 25 horses. Many of the beBt horses which havo been performing at the Oakland track during dur-ing tho past season will be shipped to Ogden and this insures good racing during tho 15-day meet here The prospects pros-pects for a fine meeting In this city were never better, as the racing lid is on in the East for the coming summer sum-mer and a large number of horses will bo brought west for the intor-mountaln intor-mountaln circuit, whero open booking 1b permitted. Arrangements are being made by tho promoters of the Ogden and Lagoon La-goon meetings to supply ample stable accommodations for all horsemen who are shipping this waj oo |
