In his statement ho Bays- "We aro not asking for anything more than has already been granted to tho engineers, firemen, switchmen, conductors and other members of tho brotherhood. The renl purpose of tho federation Is to avert strikes and to net as an arbitration commission and as an Intermediary for the settlement of disputes involving the separate craft6 "Wo feel we aro entitled to a wage Increase Just as well as the engineers, firemen and conductors. It is true we are opposed to piecework and the bonus system, ns It encourages the 'sweatshop' system. Wo object to the perponal record system only so far as to eliminate tho danger of a blacklist. black-list.
