A delegation of fifty farmers, from various parts of Pennsylvania and New York state, are here today to start a plan for cooperative co-operative marketing of their products. They claim to represent raoro than 50,000 farmers, who will hereafter sell their produce direct to the city retailers retail-ers without intervention of the middleman mid-dleman The scheme they say, will mean a reduction to the ultimate consumer con-sumer of at. least forty per cent from present prices. The co-operative association through which the farmers will distribute their product will have a working capital of $1,000,000, which may he raised at any time by a slight assessment of its members. If this market be eslab-Hs"heJ eslab-Hs"heJ in this city and fulfills expectations, expec-tations, other similar markets will be established in every large city in the United States and put the operatlou on a national basis.
