Show Christmas tree permits available Individuals may cut their own Christmas trees on the Dixie National Forest, Cedar City Ranger District, according to District Ranger Rollo Branson. Permits will be available at the cutting area the weekends of November 27 and 28, December 4 and 5, and December 11 and 12; between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Trees are limited to one per family at a cost of $1.00. The cutting area is located at the junction of the Cedar Breaks Road U-55 and Highway U-14 at Midway. The area lies east of U-55 U-55 and north of U-14 and is readily accessible by foot. It is required that all Christmas Christ-mas trees taken from the National Forest be cut from a designated area and that they are tagged prior to leaving the area. |
