Show National Family Week is fine For one night a week or less find out they had a family and most boys would rather have their friends believe that they sprouted from a lonely mushroom somewhere. So, we relented and went back to our normal routine, trying to get them together long enough to feed them, listening to arguments on why we should let the car go for a drive, "discussions" on time limits, and pleas for money for necessities like tacos and root beer from the local drive-ins. Anyway, we'll go back to one family night a week and the rest of the time we'll have our normal hubbub of coming and going-we're going-we're a lot happier family that way. Then, we sat there in stunned silence for a few moments. After we recovered from the initial shock we regrouped and decided on a game of Monopoly. I hate Monopoly but I joined in. For a while it went okay, but after an hour or so our spirits began to wane. The boys began fighting over Boardwalk, I had to give up my last piece of property (Mediterranean Ave.) to pay off a debt, and Norm fell asleep on his part of the board. So, we grumbled a little and went to bed early. |
