Dick Truce of Deseret Ambulance Am-bulance presented a plan to the council which would involve $5,000 per year plus $1,000 a month and a place to live to offset costs in operating an ambulance. After lengthy discussion, it was decided if the town could come up with the money, the town would consider the proposal. A public hearing on the proposed fire watch was conducted. con-ducted. The present pay phone fire number was asked to be abandoned as impractical. Other areas of fire watch, such as a siren, telephone network, shifts to man phones, etc, were also discussed. While the entire subject is being researched, a fire watch list will be circulated among the town's businesses. A hearing concerning the hours and days of business of a liquor store at Ferdinand's was also had. All police checks on the store will be over by Thanksgiving, the council noted.
