Show Stockmen plan joint Convention The fourth annual joint convention con-vention of the Utah Cattlemen's Association and the Utah Wool Growers Association will be held in the Salt Lake Hilton Hotel on December 1-2-3, 1976. A meeting for all stockmen using public lands will be held on Wed. at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the recently passed BLM Organic Act and changes in grazing regulations for over 30,000,000 acres of Utah lands. Attending for the federal agencies will be Vern Hamre, USDA Regional Forester, Ogden, and Paul Howard, Director, Bureau of Land Management, Salt Lake City, and Nick Theos, president of the Public Lands Council, Denver, Colorado. Joint association committee meetings will be held on Thursday, Thur-sday, December 2, to discuss predatory animal control, brand and1 theft problems, animal health, and proposed legislation. Topper Thorpe, Denver, manager of the American National Cattlemen's Association Cattle-Fax marketing program, will discuss the 1977 outlook for the cattle market. |
