For each of the last two years, SUSC students have organized a marathon run from Cedar City to Salt LakeCity to raise March of Dimes money. The students also sponsor related fund raising activities. "In addition to the game, we will have a complete halftime show featuring the SUSC Thunderettes and a special mystery marching group." Commando basketball is similar to regular basketball with a few exceptions: -Players each wear a boxing glove on one hand. -Whenever a player is in possession of the ball, any opposing op-posing player may hit him between the chin and the belt with his gloved hand. -Dribbling the ball is permitted, per-mitted, but not required. The game will be played in four 10-minute quarters. The third annual marathon run to Salt Lake City is scheduled for late January. |
