Show Bobcats defeat Rams 58 -48 PAROWAN - The Parowan High School Rams opened the 1976-77 basketball season with a victory over Tabiona Friday night. It was the first evaluation of the season of the Rams for Coach Ralph Riggs as they faced the small but rugged Tabiona team. Using a full court press and fast break the Rams took an early 7-0 lead and led by at least four points throughout the game. Coach Riggs was able to clear his bench in the first half of the game as he tried several combinations. com-binations. The press tired the Tabiona team and the Rams coasted to a 66-51 victory. Leading scorer in the contest was Brad Fife with 18 points. Tom Robinson lead the rebounding for the Rams with 14 and he also was credited with nine assists. Other scorers were Tom Robinson, 8; Mike Robinson, 2; DonHulet, 12; Brent Rowley, 12; Mike Benson, 6; Mike Evans, 6 and Kim Bess 2. 8 fW"M J'Wi.w sp HONORED AT PAROWAN HIGH. John V. Benson was the special guest of honor at Parowan High School Friday. A special day was held for John V. one of the outstanding basketball players to graduate from the school. He was all state while at Parowan High and won All Conference and All American honors at BYU. |
